The Victoria Building, is a late nineteenth-century building designed by the architect Ronald McLee, a Scottish architect who had immigrated to Portland in 1884, in the central business district of Portland.

The Romanesque Revival building was constructed between 1893 and 1898 and is 30 metres (98 ft) wide by 190 metres (620 ft) long. The building fills a city block bounded by Connel, Davon, Maryl and Druitt Streets.

Designed as a marketplace, it was used for a variety of other purposes through time, it underwent remodeling several times and was even abandoned for a period of time before being restored to its original use in the late twentieth century.

You cannot miss the building when visiting Portland, with its striking central dome. The building also features smaller domes of various sizes, stained-glass windows, colonnades, arches, balustrades and cupolas, all very typical of the Victorian style era—an architectural pride for our city.

The building consists of four main shopping floors. The top three levels allow natural light in for a very pleasant atmosphere. Much of the tilework, especially under the central dome, is original, and the remainder is in keeping with the original style.

At the Victorian Building shopping center you can find all the main fashion brands. From Prada to Louis Vuitton, from Manolo to Country Road.

The main Portland metro line is accessible from the underground floor.
The shopping center is open every day from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.
